In providing the Services, we collect certain information from you to enable us to automate and manage various tasks relating to your ticket broker business, and to improve our service. You may opt out of providing certain information, but if you do so, it may limit the scope of service we can provide.

Our Privacy Policy

We may disclose personally identifiable information you provide to third parties if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) complete the sales transaction, such as providing your shipping information to our carrier; (b) comply with legal process; (c) enforce the Terms; (d) respond to claims that any information you provide violates the rights of third parties; (e) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of SeatScouts, its users and/or the public; or (f) in relation to the sale, assignment, transfer or acquisition of all or substantially all of SeatScouts’ assets or shares by a third party (each, an “Authorized Purpose”). Except as provided in the preceding sentence, SeatScouts will NOT sell or trade your personally identifiable information with third parties, such as sellers of goods or services.

  • We require our management personnel and employees to protect your personal information and keep it confidential.

What is “personal information”

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” is information or data that can be associated with a particular person or entity and could be used to identify that particular person or entity, whether directly from that information or data alone, or in combination with other information or data to which we have or may have access.

Personal information may include (i) information or data that you provide to us directly and intentionally (for example, ticket-related data), (ii) information or data that we collect from third parties in the course of providing the Services (for example, ticket-related data that we obtain from marketplaces), as well as (iii) information or data that we collect in the process of interacting with you (for example, cookies, IP addresses, etc.).

Personal information about your ticket broker business may include, without limitation, the following: your name and/or company name, physical address, email, telephone number, financial institution information such as credit or debit card numbers and details, shipping and billing information, information relating to your tickets (including event, venue, event date and time, quantity of tickets, section, row, seat numbers, sales price, barcodes, etc.), and information relating to your marketplace accounts (including user names and passwords). All credit and debit card information is handled, stored, and transmitted by a third party processor.

Restrictions on how we can use your personal information

We will not disclose your personal information to any third party without your consent, unless that disclosure is in connection with one or more Authorized Purposes, described above.

Aggregate Information

We may automatically receive, record, and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us, such as (i) information from your browser, including without limitation, your IP address, cookie information, and the information you request, (ii) usage information, including without limitation, the numbers and frequency of users of the Site, the Services, and the App and their components, and (ii) ticket information, including without limitation, general and specific data regarding seat pricing, sales, dates, and events. While your personal information is protected as outlined above, we reserve the right to use, transfer, sell, and share aggregated data about our users as a group for any business purpose, such as analyzing usage trends and seeking compatible advertisers and partners. We may also use traffic data to help diagnose problems with our server, analyze trends, and administer the Site, the Services, and/or the App. Seat Scouts may use this data in aggregate form, provided it is not in a manner that would explicitly identify you personally. As part of this use of information, we may provide aggregate information, not information that explicitly identifies you personally, to our partners about how our users, collectively, use the Site, the Services, and/or the App. You acknowledge and agree that when we share aggregate information about our users with our partners, we do not have any control over, and are not responsible for, our partner’s use of this information.

We take precautions to protect your personal information. When you submit sensitive information via the Site, we take commercially reasonable precautions to protect your personal information both online and offline. In addition, in order to provide certain services, we may need to store your user name and password for certain third party websites or applications. This information is encrypted and we take commercially reasonable precautions to protect it from unauthorized access or use. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we cannot guarantee the security of your information and will not be liable for any unauthorized access or use of your information or for any damages associated therewith.

Furthermore, while we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secured environment.

We use “cookies” on the Site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve your access to the Site and identify repeat visitors to the Site. Cookies can enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on the Site and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding the Site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on the Site. Most cookies expire after a defined period of time.
